From application to arrival, here’s how it works.

    Step 1Find Your Cat

    Browse our available cats through Pawlytics and find your perfect match.

    Step 2Submit Your Application

    Complete our adoption application and submit the $25 non-refundable application fee. Applications are processed in the order received.

Phase 2Approval

    Step 3Application Review & Home Check

    Our team reviews your application, contacts your veterinary and personal references, verifies landlord approval (if applicable), and completes a required video home check and interview with every applicant.

    Once approved, a $250 non-refundable reservation deposit is due within 24 hours to secure your cat.

Phase 3Egypt to Home

    Step 5Preparing in Egypt

    Your cat receives age-appropriate vaccinations, is spayed/neutered (if age eligible), microchipped, dewormed, given topical flea preventative, and prepared for international travel with all required health certificates and documentation.

    Step 6Flight to America

    Cats travel from Cairo to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) on our scheduled flights, approximately every six weeks.

    Step 7Welcome Home

    You will pick up your cat at IAD cargo and begin your new life together! Adopters are responsible for their cat’s onward transport from IAD. We do not arrange domestic transport.

Good to know

  • Adopters pick up at IAD cargo
  • Adopters are responsible for onward transport from IAD
  • No cargo shipping after the Egypt leg
  • Canada adopters must also pick up at IAD (we do not arrange Canadian domestic transport)
  • Travel dates are confirmed in advance and cannot accommodate last-minute additions

Adopting a kitten?

Kittens & spay/neuter

Kitten requirements, step by step

  1. In Egypt

    Kittens receive two FVRCP vaccinations

  2. After arrival

    Rabies vaccination given when age eligible

  3. Testing

    FeLV/FIV testing (note: results in kittens under 6 months may be unreliable)

  4. By 6 monthsRequired

    Spay/neuter required by 6 months of age — proof must be provided within two weeks

  5. ContractRequired

    Contract requires sterilization and we reserve the right to reclaim the cat if not completed

Where are the cats, and who can adopt?

Our cats are located in Egypt and available for adoption to approved homes in the United States.

How much does adoption cost in total?

The adoption fee is $600. A separate $25 non-refundable application fee and a $250 non-refundable reservation deposit are also required.

How is my application reviewed?

Applications are processed in the order received. Our team contacts your veterinary and personal references, verifies landlord approval (if applicable), and completes a required video home check and interview with every applicant.

Where and when do I pick up my cat?

Cats fly from Cairo to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) on scheduled flights approximately every six weeks. You pick up your cat at IAD cargo, and travel dates are confirmed in advance.

Can you deliver my cat to my city?

No. Adopters are responsible for onward transport from IAD. We do not arrange domestic transport, and there is no cargo shipping after the Egypt leg.

I live in Canada. Where do I pick up?

Canada adopters must also pick up at IAD. We do not arrange Canadian domestic transport.
